14-Segment Honeycomb-Pattern Metering.

This advanced feature sets the correct exposure for your subject—even under difficult lighting conditions such as back lighting and spot lighting—by measuring light from 14 segments. It sets the accurate exposure even if your subject moves across the frame.

Honeycomb-Pattern Metering.
A highly accurate system which ensures beautiful photos by assessing light conditions from 14 individual segments.

Super-Bright Viewfinder.
For the brightest and most comfortable viewing, the Maxxum 4 uses the same spherical acute matte focusing screen found on higher-class cameras. Plus, a magnification of 0.75X means easier focusing and composing of shots.

Spot Metering.
By limiting exposure readings to the center circle of the viewfinder, you’ll master tricky shooting conditions—such as subjects lit from behind or with high contrast—with precise control. Now, a face in a shadow or a portrait before a window can be captured beautifully and effortlessly.

Film Chamber Lock.
This safety feature prevents the camera from being opened until the film has been safely rewound. When engaged, the lock indicator turns red. The large release button and cover design also make film changing a snap.
