CCDs, in general, are often adversely affected by noise during long exposures. However, the CCDs of DiMAGE 7 & 5 are resistant to noise even when 30-second bulb-trigger shots are taken. Also, the seven-blade aperture on both models produces a beautiful defocusing effect that can be controlled in fine increments.
