The Digital Hyper Viewfinder contains 220,000 pixels to provide a clear view of the scene with 100% field of view. Various data are displayed within the viewfinder for easy confirmation, and you can use it to check exposure and other factors before each shot. Composing shots, particularly macro images, is made easier by a 90-degree tilting mechanism. To conserve battery power, a sensor detects when you're looking through the viewfinder, and automatically shuts down the LCD monitor. In low-light situations, a special color read-out system used by the CCD improves the visibility of your subject in the viewfinder.

The DiMAGE 7Hi offers all of its playback functions in Quick View mode, which allows you to check various things and still be able to shoot right away. You can get an enlarged view of an image immediately after you've captured it. You can also scroll through saved images, use the display index, check the histogram of any image, and more. |

This convenient function lets you easily shift between automatic operation and your preferred manual settings. One touch of the Program Reset button puts the camera into automatic operation. Then, whenever you wish to retrieve the settings you usually shoot with, just use P-Reset Undo and you're ready. |

Intuitive operation is supported by an intelligent control layout that separates controls dedicated to image capture from those used to playback images.

For further ease of use, the four-way cross key is separated from its central button, which make the key more responsive to your thumb. |
