Digital Effects Control provides a tremendous amount of control over the final look of your images. With it, you can adjust different factors before taking your first shot: exposure, contrast, saturation, and colored filter. Each setting has 7 levels, and does not degrade the quality of your image data in any way. After you've made a setting, you can check its effects in the viewfinder or LCD monitor.

Digital Enhancement Bracketing produces, for each shot, a series of exposures with slight variations in steps of +/- 1.0, 0.5, or 0.3 EV. You can use this feature with Digital Effects Control to bracket contrast, saturation, and colored filter. |

Solarization |
The DiMAGE 7Hi comes with four color modes: Vivid Color, Natural Color, Solarization, and Black & White. Many different effects can be achieved by combining these modes with the Digital Effects Control. For example, when you've selected Black & White as your color mode, you can produce sepia-toned images by adding the DEC's colored filter effect. |

Leave exposure settings to the camera by using the Digital Subject Program Selection to pick out your scene: portrait, sports, sunset, night portrait, or text. The effects of these settings can be checked prior to image capture in the viewfinder or LCD monitor. Further adjustments can be added with the Digital Effects Control.
