Several types of text information can be imprinted on your still images: date, time serial number, and text messages (up to 16 alphanumeric characters). You can imprint this text directly on the image itself, or include it in the image's EXIF tag. Another handy option is audio recording. Just talk into the camera to add a 15-second voice message to any particular still shot.

This software lets you check thumbnails of your images, plus EXIF data and any comments you've added. Files can be easily copied, moved, and renamed. Diverse editing tools are provided, such as tone curve and histogram adjustment for still images and flicker compensation for movies. Advanced color management tools are included.

Printouts can be made easily, without going through a computer, by directly connecting the DiMAGE A2 to a PictBridge*-compliant printer. You can check which image you want to print on the LCD monitor.

*PictBridge is an industry standard established by the Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA).
