The DiMAGE A200 turns on the speed when you need it to capture a dynamic moment at a sporting event or the fleeting expression of a child, for example. You can shoot 8.0 megapixel images with continuous shooting modes; at a rate of approx. 2.0 fps in Continuous AF mode, and at approx. 2.3 fps in High-speed Continuous Advance mode. For even faster shooting, UHS (ultra high-speed) mode boosts your rate at 10 fps.
Checking the histogram of the live LCD monitor image gives you an idea of the overall brightness of the scene, so you can make adjustments on the spot if necessary. Histograms of captured images can be viewed as well.
The language for menu indications on both the electronic viewfinder and Vari-angle LCD monitor can be selected from Japanese, English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified), Italian and Swedish.
A new Portrait mode with precise skin-tone reproduction has been added to the Natural, Vivid, Adobe RGB (ICC) and Black & White modes. Choose the one that best suits the image you have in mind, or pair it up with another function, such as Digital Effects Control.
With DEC, you can adjust contrast and saturation as you like, then check how it looks before shooting. An additional setting, Filter, replicates the effect of a color filter. It can be combined with the camera's monochrome color mode to produce 11 types of monochromatic effects.
With Digital Bracketing function, you can have 3-sequential images with slight variations in white balance or in exposure steps (in increments of ±0.5 or 0.3 EV).
For fast data transfers anytime, connect the DiMAGE A200 to your computer using the attached USB Interface cable.
Printouts can be made easily, without going through a computer, by directly connecting the DiMAGE A200 to a PictBridge*-compliant printer. You can check which image you want to print.
High quality printing is also supported by compatibility with Exif Print, a standard for adding various types of shooting data to your images.
The DiMAGE A200 is compatible with the latest version of Epson's Print Image MatchingTM technology for optimizing print quality.
