Area AF & Subject Tracking AF with Focus Area Selection
Get sharp, in-focus images even if your subject is on the move. With Minolta's innovative Area AF, you can pick out a specific subject in the frame and have the camera's autofocusing system follow it (Subject Tracking AF). The extra-wide focusing area is composed of five focusing blocks that alternate as your subject moves. This is clearly marked in the LCD monitor for easy confirmation. Subject tracking begins with just a half-press of the shutter button, and focusing is fast to ensure great results.
Automatic image rotation
View your shots with maximum comfort. Images are automatically rotated during playback so you can see all your shots from the same position, whether they were shot horizontally or vertically. This handy feature works when the DiMAGE F200 is connected to a TV as well. And finding any shot is remarkably stress-free, as images are displayed in only 0.2 seconds regardless of their resolution.
Automatic Digital Subject Program Selection
Let the DiMAGE F200 also optimize image quality for you. This exclusive Minolta feature automatically adjusts exposure, color reproduction, contrast, and various other factors to best fit the type of scene you're shooting. There are five automatic settings, each with its own special characteristics, plus a manual setting for close-ups. You can check which mode is active with a quick look at the LCD monitor.
Easier low-light shooting
If you're taking pictures at night or in other low-light situations, the DiMAGE F200 boosts the brightness of colors of its LCD monitor to help you frame your shots more easily. Enjoy a clear view of what you're shooting.
