As the name suggests, this mode is perfect for sports scenes with fast-moving subjects or elements you want to freeze in action.

This mode gives you beautiful defocused backgrounds, providing a perfect setting for portraits.	Landscapes have extra realism and depth with this mode, as it maintains sharp focus right out to distant objects.	In addition to taking stunning shots of sunsets and night scenes, you can get sharply focused portraits while retaining a naturally-lit background. * Because this mode employs slow shutter speeds, the use of a tripod is recommended.
