Manual exposure mode with noise reduction
The Manual exposure mode lets you freely adjust camera settings to suit the situation or your creative ideas. Shutter speed can be set from 1/1000 to 15 seconds, and you can also choose between two aperture settings.

- The two available aperture settings will differ according to the extension of the zoom lens.

Excellent close-up images
With the Macro setting on, you can get as close as 6 cm (2.4 inches) from your subject during wide-angle shooting and shoot an area as small as 8 x 6 cm (3.1 x 2.4 inches). Macro can be used at telephoto ranges as well, when you want the subject to fill the frame.

Five flash modes to choose from
Select the mode that matches your needs: Autoflash, Autoflash with red-eye reduction, Fill flash, Night portrait, or Flash cancel. The flash modes come with a variety of preset shutter speeds to choose from, so you can use a faster or slower shutter speed as you like. This flexibility is useful in various situations: for example, if you want to capture more of the background in a nighttime portrait.

Manual exposure mode with noise reduction
Focusing can be fixed at distances of 1 m, 2 m, or 4 m. A handy option for dealing with factors such as dim light, heavy backlighting, or moving subjects. Fixed focus also reduces shutter release time lag, so you won't miss your shot.

Flexible exposure metering
To make sure you can easily get a great shot under different lighting conditions, there are two types of metering to choose from: center-weighted metering and spot metering.

Black & white or sepia-toned images
The DiMAGE G600 includes two monochromatic modes, giving you yet another way to have fun with digital photography.

Easier settings with the customizable Controller
The Custom mode lets you assign control over specific settings to the Controller, so that you can change settings more easily. For example, if you like to experiment with exposure, you'll be able to adjust it in 0.3 Ev steps simply by pressing the Controller, without having to go through a menu. AF Lock, AE Lock, and white balance can also be adjusted directly with the Controller.
