Selecting the best shot from a number of images is one of the beauties of digital photography - this technique is enhanced by DiMAGE Master. Through a simple drag and drop of thumbnail images, selected images are displayed for analysis. It is also possible to expand / reduce and move items so that each frame display is moved in real time.
The RGB Histogram is displayed on each image to be examined. Histogram data is displayed in the tool display section. Distinctions can be made at a glance, even when they are difficult to differentiate on the display.
As well as displaying the difference (ΔEV) between the exposure value of a candidate image and a selected reference image, this tool also displays the ratio of pixels that exceed the luminance limits for highlights and shadows. The pixel value of each selected point on the image is also displayed for comparison, thus subtle differences in images of 'special moments you want to recreate' can be assessed numerically.
This tool displays just the extracted edges of an image. This makes it easier to assess the focus of an image, as correctly focused images have a sharper contrast around the edges. Particular areas can be selected and the level of focus assessed numerically.
Through selecting a particular area of concern in each frame, a comparison of the color values is displayed for the selected area. 'Color imbalance' can be detected irrespective of brightness, and white balance can be accurately ascertained.
