| Minolta wants you to be able to make the most of your creativity. So the DiMAGE S414 has a Digital Effects Control that lets you vary image characteristics and view the effect on the monitor before shooting. You can adjust contrast from the menu, and exposure compensation with an independent button. |
You can set the camera to automatically produce a series of exposures with slight variations (1.0 / 0.5 / 0.3Ev) when you press the shutter. Choose the one you like the best and erase the rest to save memory capacity. |

In sunlight, it may be hard sometimes to know how colors will turn out. By checking the LCD monitor's histogram, however, you'll get a better idea before taking the shot. Histogram of the shot itself can also be checked afterwards. |
Various controls offer great shooting in driverse situations. Exposure control can be selected from Program (P), Aperture priolity (A), or Manual (M) to best suit your subject. And to better handle different levels of lighting, the DiMAGE S414 includes automatic sensitivity control and four ISO-equivalent settings (64 / 100 / 200 / 400). |

Thanks to the impressive degree of exposure control offered, you can take bulb-trigger shots for up to 15 seconds. Try it when shooting at night, for example. With the DiMAGE S414, the image noise that tends to occur at slow shutter speeds is effectively reduced. |
Whether you're indoors or out, the automatic setting lets you enjoy relaxed operation. Or, you can preset the control for four light sources: daylight, tungsten, fluorescent, or cloudy. For critical applications, a custom setting is also available. |
