Movie recording is another area where the DiMAGE Z1 takes the lead. Its VGA recording mode (640 x 480, 30fps) delivers four times the resolution and twice the frame rate of the QVGA recording used by conventional digital cameras. That means stunning movie clips with camcorder-like quality. During movie recording, Konica Minolta's advanced autofocus technology keeps your subject in focus for excellent results. Afterwards, you can use the movie frame capture function to save any frame in your movie as a still shot.
Max. recording resolution: VGA (640 x 480, 30 fps). Other settings: 320 x 240 or 160 x 120, 15 fps or 30 fps. At non-VGA resolutions, recording can continue until the memory card is full. (On rare occasions, a memory card may not record to full capacity due to its writing speed.) |

ArcSoft VideoImpression is a handy video editing software bundled with the DiMAGE Z1. You can use it to edit together different clips you've shot with the camera and create your own home movies. As you follow the step-by-step guide through the editing process, you can add text, audio, still images, and special effects with ease. When you're done, you'll be able to record your movie on a Video CD for playback on a DVD player.
