4 megapixels: Great for making large, beautiful prints

The 4-megapixel, 1/2.5 inch CCD produces plenty of detail for creating high-quality enlargements---as large as 36.4 x 25.7 cm (14.3 x 10.1 inches) at 150 dpi print resolution. In addition, the CCD's primary color filter offers high color fidelity.

* Total CCD pixel count: 4.2 megapixels

Sharper, clearer images from the magnificent GT Lens

The GT Lens designation goes only to the finest digital camera lenses from Konica Minolta---like the 10x optical zoom lens of the DiMAGE Z2. This all-glass APO lens provides superior color quality and remarkably sharp detail. It includes AD glass elements to minimize color aberration and distortion, ensuring superb images at all focal ranges, from close-up to telephoto.

Clear, excellent images from CxProcess(TM) II

Images that look as vivid and natural as the scene appeared to you---that's the goal of this exclusive Konica Minolta image processing technology, which balances several key factors of each image for true-to-life results.

  • Color processing with extra-fine control over tone curves to ensure greater shadow and highlight area detail.
  • Increased saturation for color reproduction that is lucid, not dull.
  • Smooth edge processing to makes high-resolution images look even sharper.
  • Optimized contrast for more distinct detail in the light and dark areas of your images.
Compared to the original CxProcess (in blue), the new CxProcess II (in yellow) strikes a stronger balance among several factors by which image quality is judged. Images appear more life-like than ever as a result of this balance.

Better low-light images through noise reduction

Advanced noise reduction circuitry helps you capture clear slow-shutter images of night scenes, such as the starlit sky or fireworks. Movies recorded in dim conditions also look better due to the camera's CCD, which is four times more sensitive than conventional sensors.
