Thanks to its new, high-capacity 32MB buffer memory, you can rely on the DiMAGE Z2 for outstanding continuous shooting speed. Capture rate is approx. 2.5 frames per second. Or, in UHS (ultra high-speed) mode, you can capture 1.3 megapixel images at a blazing 10 fps until the buffer memory is full.

Progressive Capture is a unique continuous shooting mode that lets you keep on shooting until you've captured the moment you were waiting for. In this mode, you simply keep your finger on the shutter button until you're satisfied. When you let go, the DiMAGE Z2 starts recording images on its memory card, saving the last several images in your sequence.

Everything about the DiMAGE Z2 is built for speed. Turn the power on and it's ready in only 1.8 seconds. Press the shutter release button and your image is captured immediately, so you won't miss the magic moment. Successive shots can be taken at intervals of under 1 second.* And during playback, you can whiz through your memory card at 0.2 seconds per image.
