Digital ICE3TM is a collection of three image-enhancement technologies that dramatically improve the quality of images scanned from imperfect film sources. It delivers clearer results from the scan procedure itself, thus saving you the time and effort of post-scan retouching. The three functions can be individually turned on/off in the driver software prior to scanning.

| Minolta's exclusive Autofocus system offers fast calibration for reduced overall focusing time. What's more, this system uses a unique film grain detection method to ensure accurate scanning, even with low-contrast images. Extra focus control is available through the Point AF and Manual Focus functions. Point AF allows you to direct focus to a specific part of the film image, while Manual Focus lets you adjust focus in +/-200 steps, making it especially useful for dealing with curled film.
