Digital ICE3TM is a suite of three technologies that dramatically improve the quality of images scanned from imperfect film sources. Its inclusion offers better results from the scan procedure itself, which saves you from the time and effort of tedious post-scan retouching.
Digital ICE3 is a trademark of Eastman Kodak, Inc. It is recommended primarily for use with color film; Digital ICE, however, can also be used with chromagenic black and white film. Scanning time will increase when using of any of the three technologies.

| Two high-speed interfaces are provided to reduce overall scanning time: Ultra SCSI and IEEE1394 (FireWire). Both interfaces support efficient task completion with data-intensive film scanning, and can save a lot of time when you're working with multiple images. |
The DiMAGE Scan Multi PRO comes with auto loading and continuous scanning capabilities. With 35mm filmstrips, you can choose to scan either all six or just a few selected frames. Alternatively, load and scan up to four slides at once, and continually replace the last slide while leaving the holder in the scanner. |

| The Custom Wizard menu greatly simplifies scan settings with a particular film source. You can combine AF, Digital ICE3, Auto Crop and other functions, and have the scanner perform the entire series of operations on the loaded film. Custom settings can be saved and recalled for later use. |

Minolta's exclusive focus adjustment technology makes sure that even low contrast images are accurately scanned, and the scanner's fast Autofocus calibration reduces overall autofocus time. Point AF and Manual control (adjustable in +/-200 steps) are included for added flexibility. |
