Question: The autoflash will fire only in portrait mode among digital-subject-programs.
Answer: If the flash mode is set to autoflash, the built-in flash is automatically canceled in other digital-subject-program modes than portrait.
This specification is determined to optimize exposure for each shooting condition.
To use flash in other digital-subject program modes than portrait, set the flash mode to fill-flash. However in macromode, use of the built-in flash is not recommended. The subject distance in macro mode is too short to control flash output for the optimum exposure.
