| Question: | Can the DiMAGE Z6 display images once saved in PC and saved back in the memory card? | Answer: | To view an image file in the memory card on the LCD monitor of the camera, the image file must meet the requirements below: 1. The image file is saved in accordance with the rule of file name, folder name, and folder organization dedicated for the camera to display. Please refer to the camera's instruction manual. 2. The image file contains Exif tag data. 3. The image file has been saved as either .tiff* or .jpg.(*For tiff-supported camera only) An original image may not meet the requirements if: a) It (image file) or a containing folder is renamed. b) It is saved in different folder from before. c) It is opened in an image-processing application and then saved overwriting the original data. d) Exif tag data is erased by image-processing. (Once erased data cannot be recovered.) To rename an image file, it must be renamed by 8-digit letters (alphabet/number) containing last 4-digit numbers, with either .jpg extension. [Saving image files in the camera] An image file must be saved in the standard folder (e.g. [100KM029], folder name depends on the camera) located in the DCIM folder in the storage media in the camera. *Make sure that there are no image files with the same name to be overwritten. *Please refer to the camera's instruction manual for: - how to connect/disconnect the camera to computer - the name of the standard folder. A JPEG image recorded by a DCF*-compliant model can be displayed on the LCD monitor of the camera if it meet the above-mentioned requirements (1-3).
