Question: What is the color temperature setting function of white balance control? In what occasion is it effective?
Answer: This function allows you to directly set the color temperature (K(kelvin)) in white balance setting. It is useful for those who would like to reflect photographer's idea on color reproduction using the measured value by a color meter or learned value from experience. Color temperature can be set per 100K between 2500 and 9900K.
(*) Generally color meters are designed to correspond to film's spectral sensitivity. As it is different from CCD spectral sensitivity, the white balance set by this function may not match the images under the artificial light source such as fluorescent and flash light. In such cases, we recommend to use auto white balance or customed white balance setting.
